The Joshua Schooner (Captain Carol Bramblett)

The Schooner Joshua
The official Tall Ship for the City of Mobile
and the State of Alabama

The Joshua is a 72 Feet long classic wood Schooner that can carry up to 49 passengers.

The Joshua's home port is the famous and luxurious Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama on the Easter Shore of Mobile Bay.
Captain Carol says, "The Joshua is available for Private Parties, Special Events, Fishing, ETC. as well as Walk-On Excursions on Historic Mobile Bay.

The Crew arrives early to make sure the Joshua is readied to accommodate the days events . On this particular day, the Captain and crew were preparing for group tour as is common for guests and conventioneers. Caterers were loading refreshments and beverages for the upcoming sail around Mobile Bay. This particular outing was 2 hours of beautiful, wind in your face and quiet relaxation.

The Joshua's crew is readying the vessel for it's departure from Point Clear Yacht Basin.

Captain Carol and her crew greet, this afternoons guests, as they arrive and board the Joshua for some good ole Southern Hospitality.

Turned away from the wind to
Hoist the Sails

Captain Carol told me the Coast Guard would not allow her to raise all the sails.
I'm sure it is for safety reasons.

Sails up and the Joshua turns around to catch the wind as she heads towards the north end of the bay, towards Fairhope, the artistic home to Actors, Authors, Artists of all mediums, as well as retired Athletes and business people from all over the world.
The Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay offers so much, whether you enjoy fishing, golf or the arts.
The Joshua is a Jewel in the crown of Southern Hospitality along the Alabama Gulf Coast.
